Pet Peeve

One of my biggest pet peeve is 'people who don't keep the their word'.
There are many different categories to that, let me list just a few examples:

1) Can't wait to meet up!
The above are people who express their excitement to meet up while planning it, but when that day comes, no sign of that person, nor any call etc. Do you know that when you make plans with someone, that person actually locks you into their day's plan (set aside time to meet up) and when you don't show up without any notice whatsoever, it is considered time wasted, when we could making much better use of that time? It is good to practice some respect for other people's time.

2) See you there!... OR not
These are people who sticks to the plan, till right before the plan itself. They FFK at the very last minute with no good reason and we are literally left thinking, "So what now? We were supposed to have dinner and now am I supposed to go eat alone, make last minute calls to arrange dinner with whoever, tapau, or eat instant noodles, cos of your disrespect for my time???" How do you expect people to wanna make plans with you again next time?

3) Ok, tonight, I promise. Ok, sorry, tomorrow. Ok sorry again....... and it goes on and on
When you PROMISE to make time to discuss tonight, means tonight, I will wait for your call.
When the time comes, no sound. Then sends a text in the middle of the night saying "sorry, let's do this tomorrow, I promise". Tomorrow comes, you say the same thing. You know what, the deal is off.

4) Can can can, I will definitely do that
When you say with much conviction that you will do something, and people place their trust in you to do it, you do it, right? I have had uncountable encounters with these group of people, who say and don't do. And when they don't do what they said they would, it causes inconvenience, cos the job don't get done. And then we will have to look for someone else to do it, with minimal notice to the other person, which is not fair. And because it is not fair, no one wants to do it. Did you see what you just did there???

I do get it, that sometimes, there are emergencies, there are exceptions etc, but when you do it over and over, without any good reason, it destroys your reputation honestly. Remember, it takes just 1 second for someone to lose trust in you, and it sometimes takes a lifetime to regain that trust.
